Everyone knows about the amazing clarity of Lake Tahoe but what really caught my eye during this visit was the floor of the lake (visible because of the amazing clarity!). I have never noticed these patterns in the sand so I'm not sure if this is unusual or not, but it is certainly interesting and quite beautiful.

I'm liking all the leaves in Palo Alto right now. We do have some lovely trees in this town.
I find this to be a fascinating bridge. It is both double decker (the bottom is for bikes and pedestrians) and vertical lift. You can see the light rail going across the top deck and the Broadway Bridge (red) behind it. The sun came out long enough to give me the reflection.

Wandered around in the rain one morning in Portland and came across this graffiti. The stark black car on the white wall caught my eye. The puddle was gravy. It was really nice to be in a town that had some actual weather.

This was my first time to Alviso Marina County Park. It was an incredibly calm morning and the reflections were perfect. We also spotted a new duck, the Bufflehead.
