I thought this bridge was architecturally very beautiful. There are many bridges going over the River Liffey. This one, designed by Santiago Calatrava, allows both cars and pedestrians to cross and is shaped like a harp on it's side (which is Ireland's symbol). Apparently it opens at a 90 degree angle (not up) to allow ships to pass. I did not get to see it open. I loved walking along the river at night as there are lots of colorful reflections in the water.
