Here's the thing. George Parks Highway which runs from Fairbanks to Anchorage, is the main road in the Alaskan interior. We drove this section south of Denali and there were many stretches where there were no cars passing us from the other direction. Let me reiterate. This is the only highway and there were no cars coming toward us! Honestly, I couldn't believe it. It's tourist season. Where are the people? Maybe it's because the population of the entire state is less than 800,000 people. We have 7,000,000 just in the San Francisco bay area. They have problems in Alaska, but traffic is not one of them.
