Dona found these Black-necked Stilt chicks one morning when she was roaming the Baylands and took me to the nesting area the next time we were there together. They are so darn cute and were fun to watch as the darted in and out of the pickle weed fishing. Mom and dad would get a little crazy if anything got too close and would start dive-bombing and making lots of noise. I tried to keep a respectful distance. Here they are alert but calm. I love their long pinkish legs.
