Nonchalant Night-heron, Baylands

Night-heron_0868 I figured out that there's a reason this particular bird is called a Night-heron. We're talking serious daytime lethargy here. I have never watched a bird for so long, all the while getting closer and closer who seemed so utterly unmoved by my presence and could not even be bothered to fly away. My speculation was confirmed by Mr. Petereson. "The Black-crowned night-heron is usually hunched and inactive..." No kidding!
